Add a Watermark to an Image Online, Free and Private
Put your name, a copyright line or your logo on a picture, place it where you want it, and download the marked copy.
Your image files never leave your device.
Drag a picture here, paste it, or choose a file.
JPG · PNG · WebP
What it does
- Type a line of text, or use your own logo image, as the watermark.
- Drag it anywhere on the picture, or snap it to one of nine positions. Set its size, opacity and angle.
- Repeat the mark across the whole picture when a single corner mark would be easy to crop away.
How to use it
- Add a picture: drag it in, choose a file or paste it.
- Type your text or choose a logo, then set the position, size, opacity and rotation in the preview.
- Choose the file format and download the watermarked picture.
Common uses
- A copyright line on photos you post online.
- A shop logo on product pictures before they go into a listing.
- A diagonal repeated mark on a draft or a sample picture that you send for approval.
Formats
- Input: still JPG, PNG and WebP. Phone photos are turned upright using their rotation tag. A logo can be PNG, JPG or WebP up to 10 MB.
- Output: PNG, JPG or WebP. PNG and WebP keep transparency; JPG fills it with white.
Limits
- This tool only adds a watermark. It cannot find or remove one that is already on a picture.
- The mark is saved into the picture as ordinary pixels. A mark that is small, faint or in a corner can still be cropped or painted over by someone else.
- Text uses the fonts on your device (Sans-serif, Serif, Monospace or Rounded). No font file is added to the picture.
- Up to 50 MB; about 40 megapixels on a computer and 16 megapixels on a phone. One mark style per download.
Your picture stays on your device
The picture and your logo are processed in your browser, on your own device, and are not uploaded to PrivaPress. Reloading the page removes both.
Questions
Is my picture or my logo uploaded?
No. Both stay in your browser, on your own device, and are gone when you reload the page.
Does it make a picture impossible to copy?
No. A watermark shows where a picture came from and makes casual reuse less likely, but anyone can still crop or edit a picture. Larger, more opaque or repeated marks are harder to remove.
Can I use my own logo?
Yes. Choose a PNG, JPG or WebP file of up to 10 MB. A PNG with a transparent background blends into the picture most naturally.
Can I take a watermark off a picture with this tool?
No. It only adds marks. Keep your original file, because a saved watermark cannot be taken off again.
Does it work with Korean, Japanese and Chinese text?
Yes, as long as your device has a font for those characters, which phones and computers normally do.
